  “I have a three storey architect designed townhouse built in 2002. The boiler was in the garage and it had a flue in a concealed void running right up to the roof. New regulations required inspection hatches every few feet which ruined the internal appearance of the staircase and walls internally. The boiler needed replacement in 2018 and several companies looked at it and discussed options. To put a new flue in the same void would have caused a lot of damage and would have spoilt the interior of the house by having many inspection hatches. I could not find any flexible flue that could have been lowered from the roof. Huttie saw that they could run the flue along the garage wall exiting on the street by moving a fuse box and phone point. It was tricky because there was so little space to work with on account of an electrical garage door framework and having to drill at an angle through a brickwork column.”   “Having had some work done recently by your company I would like to place on record the following, as a recognition of an exemplary service. When the first plan was rejected by the customer Barry Wilson went to a good deal of time and trouble to involve other colleagues and to devise an alternative which was by no means straightforward. After the work was successfully completed he again listened to the customer’s needs over one small aspect and had it dealt with quickly, efficiently and at no extra cost. All the customer’s requirements were accepted and dealt with. Advice offered was sound at all times. Technical skills – This project was technically challenging and other firms had declined to take it on but the company did a first class job and did exactly what was needed, on time and on budget. Care was taken to make it look good. Planning – The project was well planned. On day one three people arrived, each with their own tasks which they got on with. All the equipment they needed came with them and no time was wasted. Professionalism – At every point in the process the company offered an extremely professional service. Phone calls were answered quickly and dealt with promptly. Appointments were offered without delay and were kept without deferrals. Everyone involved was unfailingly polite, helpful and respectful of property. After the work was completed there was literally nothing for me to do. There was nothing left behind and the area was clean. The boiler was on and set to whatever it had been on before we started. This was not the first time I have had work done by Huttie.
